At their February 19th meeting, the Library Board of Control heard a report from architects at Alliance Design Group on the bid opening for the Westside Regional Library that had taken place earlier that day. The low bid, $1,449,000, was submitted by Tudor, Inc., which is also the company that is currently constructing the new branch facilities in Hineston and Glenmora. The Board voted to recommend to the Police Jury that they accept the low bid and sign a contract with Tudor, Inc. for the project on the Library’s behalf. The next Jury meeting is scheduled for March 17th.
